King Street Jam

The Parliament Arts Organization will host the King Street Jam, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, in the Royal Square area of ​​York city centre.

Nationally acclaimed musicians will play alongside local musicians throughout the day and evening.

Headlining are Soul Train Music Award winners Amerie and Onyx.

This year’s event will feature 15 food vendors, traders, a VIP lounge and a children’s area. Tickets range from $20 for children to $100 for the VIP package.

Solar and radio astronomy

The York County Astronomical Society will host a free public viewing, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday at the John Rudy County Park Observatory.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about radio astronomy and see the sun through a solar telescope.

American Cancer Society

Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society will hold its annual Relay For Life event on Saturday at the York Expo Center, 334 Carlisle Road.

The event runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This event is open and free to the public and will include activities and games, food vendors, a vendor and craft fair, demonstrations and performances by local bands, and a luminaria ceremony for lost loved ones.
